Patagonia catalog

Patagonia changes

Usually when I make changes I'll edit the original post, keep the blog clean, avoid repetition and all that fun stuff. However, I thought these changes do a good job of showing how a fresh set of eyes, or letting an idea incubate for a day or two can help. It shows a lot of things, including my thought/editing process.
I'm fully aware of Patagonia's lack of advertising. I'd like to think this without the strapline and logo could be considered for their amazing catalog. My goal is to start producing more work in that direction thanks to this project and the outstanding work IKEA has been putting out.

Hawaii airport AD

DK if people will be upset if they get to the site and find out it's for juice. Not only juice, but juice concentrate! The idea  is to have people share their experiences, advice, great deals and music and videos that are Hawaii related. Hopefully, this would reinforce the brand's identity in the user's mind. DK which exactly, but this seems like a great way for Hawaii's Own to link up with other major Hawaiian companies like Hawaiian Airlines for example. Links for discounts could be posted on facebook/hawaiisown? DK this is all pretty new to me, exciting though!

Hawaii's going big

The Jaws ad gave me the idea to encourage video, picture and music uploads to Hawaii's Own facebook page.  I started to do some research and am excited about having a campaign where using facebook makes sense to me.

Sous Stuff

The goal is for the user to have a personalized experience. These questions will be the basis for what is recommended. Further down the road more specific questions will help to maintain this relationship. A user will be able to say, "I'm throwing a dinner party," and their sous will generate recipes for that occasion. The ultimate goal is for the user to not have to search through recipes that work for them, but have their sous chef/assistant do it for them.

A user will want to have easy access to their sous from their mobile device. Being able to look at recipes and recommendations on the bus, at the store and from the kitchen is a must!

Tin Roof

When I'm completely uninspired, just staring at the screen with nothing I like to take a photo and just start writing about it.
