Expensive Boots

  1. It feels like the copy is a little out of order.

After reading the title my first thought was "what?". Then I read the second paragraph and it didn't make it make more sense. It's halfway through the second paragraph it gets to "shoes that can survive the most awful conditions". I'd try to deliver that line sooner and more clearly. It's the punch line of the joke and USP - both are very important.

Also, I'm not sure if your target demographic is going to want Satan's Boots. I think they'd dig boots that are resilient and everything but probably not boots that grind upon the souls of the righteous.

If you do go with Satan's Workboots, it might also be a good idea to try to carry the hell theme further through the layout and photo. It would be great to see the boot in action, surviving hell.

Despite 3 paragraphs of critique, I like the idea. It's different then the usual shots of boots in rainforests, or boots doing the usual boot things - and copy heavy always gets serious props. Keep at it!

  2. Somedays are more difficult than others. On days like this I just start typing and see what happens. I try to just have fun when this feels more like a chore than it should.

I'm always apprehensive about using anything religious. I figure you'll lose a lot readers quickly.

Yeah this ad is pretty lame.

  3. I dunno, you could take it places but it would take a bit of work. It's important to keep moving ahead though.
